Virat Kohli crosses 8,000 runs in one day internationals during ICC Champions Trophy

Virat Kohli added yet another feather in his cap as he became quickest to reach 8,000 runs in limited overs in just 175 innings. Indian Captain accomplished the milestone as India cruised to a comfortable win over Bangladesh in the semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy played at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

He set another record as AB de Villiers had previous set the record in just 182 innings. Virat Kohli looked in stupendous form as he notched an unbeaten 96 runs and added 178 partnerships with Rohit Sharma to see India canter to a win to qualify for their second successive finals of Champions Trophy. Sourav Ganguly had achieved the feat in 200 innings while Sachin Tendulkar crossed 8,000 runs in 210 innings. MS Dhoni also reached the landmark in just 214 innings while West Indies Brian Lara did it in 211 innings.
