Virat Kohli breaks another batting record in test cricket

Virat Kohli has achieved another elusive feat in his career to become the first ever batsmen to score four double tons in four successive test series. The record first was earlier set by Don Bradman who became the first batsman to score consecutive double hundreds in three consecutive games but Kohli did go one better to set another record in the format.

He scored his fourth double ton against Bangladesh in the one-off test at Hyderabad. He struck 24 boundaries in his innings to see India pile on 680 runs in their first innings. He made his first double ton against Westindies in the test match series in July 2016.His second came against Kiwis at Indore while third was against formidable side like England at Mumbai as he went to register his highest individual score in test cricket in the fourth game of the series.

Virat Kohli add another feather in his cap as he broke Virender Sehwag for scoring most runs in a home season. Indian captain has certainly raised his standards in terms of batting as responsibility of leading the side has made him elevate his game to another level.
