Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah retain top spots in ICC ODI Rankings

Virat Kohli continues to rule the roost in the latest ICC ODI Rankings with 884 points to his name. Indian Captain managed to retain his top spot despite not playing in the Asia Cup 2018 held in UAE. On the other hand, Indian pacer is still at the top of ICC ODI Bowler Rankings with 797 points.

Opener Rohit Sharma showed tremendous leadership to help India to lift their seventh Asia Cup crown. He scored 317 runs in the competition at an average of 105.66 and is placed at second in the list with 884 points. Left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan is currently at fifth place after finishing as the leading run scorer in the Asia Cup 2018 for India. He has 802 points in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for Batsmen.

Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav also has been a premier performer for India in the limited-overs format besides Jaspreet Bumrah. He is currently in third place with 700 points. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also been a consistent performer for India in one-day cricket and is at 11th place in the ICC ODI Rankings.

India are currently are placed second in the latest ICC ODI Team Rankings. England is no.1 ranked side in the world cricket at the moment. Eoin Morgan and co. will certainly need to beat Sri Lanka in the upcoming five-match series to retain their top spot. India will certainly start as favorites for the upcoming five-match one-day series against West Indies.

Leg-spinner Imran Tahir has significant gains in the list after producing superlative performances against Zimbabwe in the three-match one-day series. He picked 10 wickets to move to seventh place in ICC ODI Rankings for Bowlers. South Africa’s ace pacer Kagiso Rabada is sixth in the list.

Hamilton Masakadza has moved up to 64th position in the latest ICC ODI Rankings. All-rounder Sean Williams moves to the 78th place in the list after good performances against South Africa in the three-match one-day series.
