Tom Westley set to make his debut for England against South Africa at The Oval
|England has picked uncapped players Dawid Malan and Tom Westley for 13-member squad for the third test against South Africa to be played at The Oval on 27th July. Westley has scored heavily this season in the County Championship for Essex with two hundreds to his name so far. He also played well in the warm-up against South Africa that contained the likes of Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris in the bowling lineup.
Gary Ballance has already been ruled out of the upcoming test for England so Westley will bat at no.3 at The Oval. Westley expressed his pleasure after being selected for the third test and stated it will be an honor to represent England in the game. He has said he worked and scored heavily and is in form of his life at the moment. He has done well against teams like Australia and Sri Lanka in the warm-up games for England Lions.
Dawid Malan is another player who has included in England due to his impressive performances at the domestic level.
