Sarfaraz Ahmed set to play Yorkshire in Nat West T20 competition
|Pakistan Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed will participate in NatWest T20 Blast after being signed as an overseas player replacing Peter Handscomb by English County Yorkshire. Sarfaraz was instrumental in helping Pakistan winning their maiden Champions Trophy title by defeating India by 180 runs at The Ovals.
Peter Handscomb will fly back to Australia to join the Australian squad who will prepare for their upcoming tour of Bangladesh. Though there is air of uncertainty at the moment whether the series will go ahead as ongoing pay dispute between Australian Players and Cricket Australia.
Sarfaraz Ahmed also has appointed as Test Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team after retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq after the side’s historic series in the Caribbean. He is schedule to play five matches in NatWest T20 Blast Competition. He is keen to play in the competition and is just waiting for his work permit to participate in the competition.
