MS Dhoni completes 4000 runs in Indian Premier League
|MS Dhoni went on to accomplish another milestone in his career by completing 4,000 runs in the history of Indian Premier League. The wicket-keeper batsman managed to achieve the feat during the 56th game of the league against Kings XI Punjab played at MCA Stadium, Pune.
Dhoni is placed at the bottom of the list for highest run-getters in the Indian Premier League history. Australia’s David Warner is the only overseas player in the list. The wicket-keeper batsman has scored 3,433 runs for Chennai Super Kings and 574 runs for Rising Pune Supergiants.
Virat Kohli currently leads the list of leading run scorers in the history of Indian Premier League with 4,948 runs to his name. Dhoni’s teammate Suresh Raina is second in the list with 4,931 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad Opener Shikhar Dhawan is also close to completing 4,000 runs in the Indian Premier League. He has 3,998 runs to his name so far in the competition.
With RCB eliminated, Raina will be keen to score big in the remaining games of the competition in order to surpass Kohli and become leading run-scorer in the IPL history.
MS Dhoni has been in great form in the ongoing Indian Premier League and has scored over 400 runs so far in the competition. Chennai Captain will make sure they go all the way to clinch their third IPL title in their comeback year.
