Kolpak strikes again as South Africa lose Dane Vilas to English county side Lancashire

Dane Vilas is wicket-keeper batsmen who did play for South Africa in 2015 in test cricket is the latest player to join bandwagon in the long list of probable who have signed the Kolpak deal. Vilas has been in the negotiations for a long time and eventually signed a two year deal with English county side Lancashire.
He has played six test matches and one T20 game for South Africa. He has amassed over 7000 runs in first class cricket at an average of 40 and represents Cape Cobras in the Sunfoil Competition held in South Africa.
The move by Dane Vilas is a big blow to South Africa and its domestic structure as eight players have gone on to sign Kolpak deals with different sides in England. The list includes prominent names like Rilee Rossouw, Kyle Abbott, Colin Ingram and Simon Harmer who have citied financial reasons to earn lucrative money in England.
