Kagiso Rabada will be undergoing rehabilitation phase and is expected to back to full fitness before South Africa’s tour to Sri Lanka in June. South Africa team management will certainly have to manage Rabada’s workload as the side has a tough schedule for the current year as well. Rabada will need a roadmap of some sorts if he intends to play 10 to 15 years at the international level.
The 22-year old has shown excellent form in red-ball cricket and could have been a handful for Delhi in this year’s competition. He picked up 23 wickets for South Africa in the recently concluded series against South Africa. He was named man of the series for South Africa.
Kagiso Rabada has done exceedingly well as a spearhead for South Africa’s bowling attack in the absence of Dale Steyn who has not played since 2016. South Africa have managed to beat Australia for the first time at home since their readmission. Rabada was instrumental in helping South Africa turn things around in the series against Australia after losing the first game at Durban.
