Former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi expressed his wish to play his final game at Lahore

Former Pakistan legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi who called time on his international cricket has clearly stated that he wants to play his last game at Lahore in front of packed crowds. Afridi is playing for Peshawar Zalmi who is all set secure their place in the playoffs of the second edition of Pakistan Super League 2017.Afridi was in contact with Pakistan Cricket Board on his last request to play his last game for Pakistan in UAE against Westindies last year but was turned down by Selectors as they were aiming to build a team for the future.

Shahid Afridi said it is befitting that the finale of Pakistan Super League 2017 at Lahore in Pakistan and lauded the Government of Punjab in giving full security and consent to stage a big event after a long time.There were recent terrorists in the city but Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanuallah backed the PCB and said that the finale will be played on schedule as maximum security will be given to all foreign players to make the turnout highly successful one.

Pakistan has faced international isolation in the world of cricket after a terrorist attack on the bus of Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009 saw the home side deprived of any cricket on their home soil.
