Former Pakistani opener Nasir Jamshed arrested in UK for his role in the recent spot fixing scandal

There is big developments made with regards to recent spot fixing scandal surrounding Pakistan Super League that former Pakistani player Nasir Jamshed has been arrested by National Crime Agency in UK for his probable links to bookies who were linked to this case. The agency did confirm that the arrest had been made for Jamshed and two other individuals. International Cricket Council and Pakistan Cricket Board have also zeroed in on the prime suspect involved in this scandal is a bookie named Yusuf who along with Jamshed approached Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif to carry out spot-fixing.

Najam Sethi who is chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board did clearly state that Nasir Jamshed was also barred from all formats of the game following his involvement in this whole case that has seen Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif get caught and suspended for the spot fixing at the start of Pakistan Super League. Sethi said that Sharjeel played his only game for Islamabad United and fulfilled his commitment to the bookies while Khalid Latif could not as he sat on the sidelines. The chairman said that charge sheet will be presented to both the players after all the evidences and material is collected in coherence with Anti-Corruption Unit to protect the integrity of game and punish those who are directly involved in this menace.
