Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen rules himself out of this year’s Indian Premier League

Kevin Pietersen has decided to give this year’s Indian Premier League a miss citing personal reasons. The batsman did make it clear on the social media platform that he wants to spend more time with his family. The former star player clearly stated that he was suffering from fatigue after participating in the Ram Slam T20 in South Africa for Dolphins and Big Bash League in Australia for Melbourne Stars.

He will participate in the next month’s Pakistan Super League and represent Quetta Gladiators in the second edition of the tournament. Kevin Pietersen was playing for Rising Pune Supergiants in Indian Premier League last year. He made sporadic appearances for the side as he sustained a calf injury during the course of the league. He showed good form for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League and will be trying to replicate his good form for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League.
