Former England all-rounder Dougie Brown named Head Coach of UAE

United Arab Emirates have appointed Former England cricketer Dougie Brown as the Head coach of the national side. Brown had a 3-month stint with UAE but became a candidate for the job when Pakistan pace bowler Aaqib Javed relinquished the post last year in April. The newly appointed coach tenure will begin from 1st June as he will try to prepare the squad for their upcoming series against Netherlands in the month of July. Waleed Bukhatir who is the chief selector said that the Emirates Cricket Board is pleased to select Dougie Brown as the Head Coach of national side.

Brown who played for England in a career spanning almost a decade played 25 ODI games and two T20s. He stated that it was indeed a privilege to be appointed as the Coach of UAE National Cricket Team and is looking forward to the challenges that come with the job of preparing the players for the upcoming contests this year.
