Chris Woakes climbs to No. 4 in ICC ODI Rankings for Bowlers

All-rounder Chris Woakes has been in excellent form with bat and ball for England this summer. The 31-year old reached all-time high in his limited-overs career and climbed to fourth position in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers.

Chris Woakes contributed with 89 runs with the bat in the recently concluded series against Australia. With the ball in hand, Chris Woakes claimed six wickets against Australia to see him to take big strides in the ODI Rankings for All-rounders. He is currently at second place and is 20 points behind from number one all-rounder Mohammad Nabi.

In the Test format, Chris Woakes accumulated 176 runs at an average of 29.33. His best batting performance for England came against Pakistan at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. With England reeling at 117 for 5 and needing 160 runs to win the game, Chris Woakes came to the crease and put on a match-winning 139 run partnership to see England get close to a famous win.

He smashed unbeaten 84 runs off 120 balls to help England register hard-fought win over Pakistan in the opening Test.

Chris Woakes has shown excellent form with the ball in red-ball cricket this summer. In six test matches played, Chris Woakes claimed 20 wickets at an average of 21.65.

There is no change at the top as Virat Kohli continues to rule the roost in ODI Rankings for batsmen. His teammate, Rohit Sharma has retained his second position followed by Babar Azam, Ross Taylor and Faf du Plessis.

England opener Jonny Bairstow has entered the top ten list of ODI batsmen after having another excellent series with the bat against Australia. He finished as the leading run-scorer for England with 196 runs at an average of 65.33 with one century and one half-century to his name.

After poor run with the bat, David Warner has dropped down to eighth position in the latest ODI Rankings for Batsmen, while Kane Williamson has moved to sixth place.

Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb ur Rehman is placed at third with 701 points to his name in the ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers. New Zealand pacer Trent Boult is currently one number bowler in limited-overs cricket with 722 points. Indian pacer Jaspreet Bumrah is second in the rankings and just three points behind Boult.

With his impressive bowling performance, Josh Hazlewood has moved to eighth position, while Pat Cummins has dropped to sixth in the latest ODI Rankings. Mitchell Starc and Jofra Archer currently hold the 10th position in the ICC ODI Rankings for Bowlers.
