Bangladesh move to sixth place in ICC ODI Team Rankings

Bangladesh cricket is moving in the right direction as the side reached an all-time high by moving up to sixth position in the ICC ODI Team Rankings. The side won their last against New Zealand which helped them to climb up a place in the standings. Bangladesh did register their first away win against New Zealand as they are level on points with Sri Lanka. It is for the first time that Bangladesh is ranked ahead of sides like Pakistan, West Indies and Zimbabwe.

The Asian tigers will be hopeful of putting on a better show to make further strides in the team rankings as they play ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Bangladesh will play their first against host England

In the ICC Rankings, Pakistan is placed at eight while West Indies are currently at ninth place. Bangladesh is set to be in a great position to be the one of the seven sides to automatically qualify for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
