Australia’s Aaron Finch belts highest T20 score against Zimbabwe

Aaron Finch broke the record for the highest individual for a batsman in a T20 game. Australia’s T20 Captain held the record as he registered 156 runs against England in a T20 game played at Southampton in 2013. He smashed a record-breaking 172 runs off 76 balls to see Australia pile on the runs against Zimbabwe in a game played at Harare.

He has been a premier player for Australia in the T20 format. He has scored 1,546 runs in 40 innings at an average of 46.84 with two centuries to his name. It is incredible that he has scored all the runs at a staggering strike rate of 161.71. Aaron Finch smashed 16 fours and 10 sixes in his innings against Zimbabwe. He added a record-breaking stand with D’Arcy Short to post a mammoth total on the board.

In the current list, Finch has two big scores to his name in the T20 format. Glenn Maxwell is another Australian batsman who has two centuries to his name.

He fell agonizingly close of Chris Gayle’s record of unbeaten 175 runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru in 2013 Indian Premier League. Australia will definitely be hoping that Aaron Finch can continue his rich vein of form in the Zimbabwe Tri-series. Finch has been the star of the show with the bat to help Australia win both their games played so far in the competition.
