Adelaide Strikers rope in Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan for next edition of Big Bash League

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan also been roped in by Adelaide Strikers for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL). The leg spinner has been splendid and also produced the goods with the ball in hand in his first outing in the Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is the first player from Afghanistan to take part in Australia’s Big Bash League.

Rashid Khan stated that he is excited to be a part of Adelaide Strikers for the coming season of Big Bash League. He said that it was indeed an honor for him to participate in the competition as he has become the first player from Afghanistan that will play in BBL this season. The leg-spinner also enjoyed a good run with the ball in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League. He played for Guyana Amazon Warriors and also registered his first hat-trick in the competition.

Adelaide Strikers Coach Jason Gillespie stated that Rashid Khan will add strength to the bowling lineup for the coming season. He said that leg-spinner is a great talent and will prove to a trump-card for the side in the competition. Strikers also have roped in South Africa’s Colin Ingram besides Rashid Khan.
